Mission Statement

UCH has been an official Welcoming Congregation for nearly 20 years, creating all gender restrooms and educating the congregation around human sexuality issues. A large number of folks form UCH traveled to Springfield IL to advocate for marriage rights and celebrated when they were attained in 2014.
Although more work yet needs to be done to update current understandings around Trans and Queer folks needs, the church has created a welcoming space for both PFLAG and two Trans groups which meet regularly.
UCH has also hosted Transgender Day of Remembrance services for a number of years.
