World Vegan Month begins Nov 1st
Animal Ministry celebrates World Vegan Day November 1 and World Vegan Month for the month of November. How can you join in the celebration?
People around the world choose to mark World Vegan Month in an array of different ways. You could commit to taking part in vegan outreach in your local community; share your favorite vegan recipes on social media or even challenge your friends, family or work colleagues to go vegan for 30 days by taking our Vegan Pledge. Contact UCHAnimalMinistry@gmail.com for other ideas. However you choose to mark World Vegan Month, be sure to share it far and wide using the #WorldVeganMonth and #WorldVeganDay hashtags on social media.
UCH Animal Ministry is a chapter of the UUA Animal Ministry. The chapter seeks to expand the congregation’s awareness of issues involving cruelty to animals, compassionate consumerism, ethical eating, wildlife conservation and companion animals. We are the first congregation in the world to be certified under the UU Animal Ministry’s Reverence for Life program.
We sponsor an annual Vegan Bake Sale to raise awareness of the delicious vegan options - and it's gotten more popular every year. We donate the proceeds to a worthy local shelter or cause.
Animal Ministry normally meets on Second Sundays at noon in RE Building Room 6. Contact Tiffany Schafer for more details. All are welcome to attend!

Humans required to social distance and wear masks. Leashed or crated pets welcome if they are up-to-date in their vaccinations and safe around others. Also feel free to bring a picture of current animal friends or those who have passed.
