Each month UCH has given away the entire collection from one service a month to a non-profit doing important work in the wider world. Since Covid times, the amount collected has dropped dramatically so we are widening our time frame to the entire month each group. Check this space for information on current and past partners. You can donate here on this website using the donate button and choosing the social action offering. You can also mail a check to 17 W Maple St. Hinsdale IL 60521 and write your recipient in the memo line. Thank You!

Food Empowerment Project is a vegan food justice organization and a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) founded in 2007 by Lauren Ornelas. Their goal is to raise awareness about how our food choices can change the world. Food Empowerment Project encourages people to use their individual choices to eat with their ethics and use their collective voices to help bring about positive change. They encourage healthy food choices that reflect a more compassionate society by spotlighting the abuse of animals on farms, the depletion of natural resources, unfair working conditions for produce workers, and the unavailability of healthy foods in low-income areas. Food Empowerment Project seeks specifically to empower those with the fewest resources. Visit their website: https://foodispower.org/ or watch this Video
