DuPage PADS Team
DupagePADS provides shelter for the homeless in Dupage County. For the last five years our congregation staffed the homeless shelter at Redeemer Lutheran Church. We weren't able to do that this year because PADS, to keep them safe, is housing clients in motel rooms. Currently 196 people, including 68 children, are staying in 115 rooms. To shelter and feed this many people is a huge expense. The numbers will only get worse as businesses shut down, benefits run out, and evictions increase. Our congregation has always been very generous with both time and money to provide overnight services to the homeless. Please step up again. You can make your checks out to PADS or to the church and put PADS in the memo line or donate through the donate button on the church's website.

Prison Ministry
The UCH congregation supports our prison ministry in a variety of ways. Through this work, we demonstrate that our circle of love is big enough to include all people, and to live into our value that all individuals are deserving of worth and dignity.
Our UCH Prison Ministry, which began in its current form in 2018, consists of three parts: pen pal relationships, advocacy work, and supportive events.
