The BEDS Plus mission is to help vulnerable individuals stabilize their lives through housing and supportive services. These include:

• Programs BEDS Plus — offers include a range of evidence-based programs to meet the varied and complex needs of neighbors experiencing or facing homelessness. 
• Emergency Services — connects people facing homelessness to immediate resources and services. 
• Interim Housing — provides intensive short-term case management coupled with private, temporary housing at area motels and in scattered master-leased apartments. Specialized case management is provided for families and persons with medical or mental disabilities. 
• Transitional Housing — provides medium-term rental assistance until a client can become independent. A portion of the program is dedicated exclusively to transition aged youth, victims of violence, and households involved in DCFS care. 
• Permanent Supportive Housing — couples long-term, individualized support with rental assistance at agency-owned and master-leased, scattered community apartments. APPROACH Professional case managers facilitate client-directed plans to regaining and sustaining housing. Our wraparound services are trauma-informed, low-barrier and community integrated.

​UCH members prepare meal kits every month for BED Plus clients, using shelf-stable foods selected from a list provided by BEDS Plus, which are donated by members of the congregation. Please watch News & Notes for more details.
