What: Email Submission
Due to restrictions on size allowances, we have new parameters for communicating in our weekly emails. To communicate clearly, and get email delivered to everyone all submissions must follow this format. Title – event, location, time & then description 50 words or less.It will take getting used to but will eventually create better communication for everyone and a much better chance of having your blurb seen and read.
This is necessary because many servers restrict the amount of data that can be sent in one batch. We are trying to create email communications that will be received by everyone in our community. Longer messages will be posted on our website that can be accessed with just a click. The Touchstone, our quarterly newsletter, will remain as a place for deeper communication within the church. Articles must be submitted by Nov 1st for the December edition.
Longer articles may be edited to fit the new format – or continued to the website. Research has shown that people only scan articles for main information and entirely skip ones that are really long. This format will actually help us say more to one another by saying less. Articles received on Thursday evenings or Fridays will not make it into that Friday’s News & Notes.
