Sunday Services begin at 10:30 a.m.
Sunday Nov 15 – Conscious Consumption
This service is inspired by the winner of last year’s Holiday Harvest Sermon Auction item, Debbi Daniel-Wayman. As our Fair Trade host each Sunday, she suggested exploring the ways we vote for the world we live within by the purchases we make and the things we consume. Is it possible to live lightly within the world, to drink deeply of what is offered and still remain in balance? Let’s talk. ~ Rev Pam Rumancik
Sunday Nov 22 – All Community* Thanksgiving Service
In a country with so much abundance we don’t seem to have time for the simple spiritual practice of gratitude. Join Rev Pam and Pam Fodor in a living experience of the traditional Stone Soup saga – taking time to appreciate people and gifts and also to recognize that what we bring to life has a huge impact on what we experience. We will celebrate a bread communion during the service and then share in an actual bowl of soup as a community. Please bring an ingredient to share and resident chef Tim Dvorak will simmer up a pot of delicious soup for sharing after service. Contact the office with any questions at 630-323-2885 ext 101.
* All Community services create a special space for all generations to worship together. Childcare will be available for kids under 5 in the Religious Education Building but all others are invited to join in a special liturgy celebrating life giving ideas that nourish and include folks from five to one hundred and five. All welcome!
