Green Sanctuary’s Movie Night a Blazing Success!

Green Sanctuary was proud to host forty of our fellow environmentalists for a screening Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power on January 19, 2018.  The film concluded with a lively and engaging conversation led by Dan Huntsa from Faith in Place.  We would like to thank all who enjoyed the evening with us – the response exceeded all expectations and was truly an uplifting experience!

Green Sanctuary Service:  Let’s Talk Climate

Are you concerned about the future of our communities in the face of climate change but feel overwhelmed by the idea? Come to UCH at 10:30am on April 28. Let’s have an honest conversation about the challenges we face in our everyday life to act and some ways we might address these challenges together.  To learn more, send an email to UCHinsdaleGS@gmail.com

One way you can support climate action in Illinois is to sign this online petition sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Advocacy Network of Illinois asking our state elected officials to support clean energy jobs.

What Do You Think Your Household Can Do About Climate Change?
Change is hard. What can we do that will really make a difference? Think about ways you might inspire the young people in your life through social action. Here is one easy action you can take:  Sign a petition asking our state leaders to support new clean energy jobs and a carbon free power sector in Illinois by 2030. Sign the petition here. Let’s carry on the discussion – on April 28, Green Sanctuary will sponsor Climate Conversations during and after service.
