Green RE
Our religious education continues to include the lessons the earth bring us. Green RE incorporates environmental messages in both youth and adult religious education. Besides tracking the earth wisdom we are already bringing our kids—from water, earth and air—we also conduct special programs on topics such as vermicomposting (using worms to speed the compost process), restoring natural habitats and butterfly gardening. Special adult programs have included Fair Trade, environmental issues from a multi-faith viewpoint, the electric car, electronic waste, consumption in America, voluntary simplicity and others.
